The perfect excavator for limited access sites

We used this machine for doing termite treatments where substantial excavation was required. We were a bit ahead of our time with this, and unfortunately, there wasn't the volume of work to make retaining the machine worthwhile. If needed, these machines are available for external hire with an operator, and in a termite treatment requiring substantial excavation, to me, they're still the pick of the excavators available. The Environpest excavator was a Takeuchi TB-007, and had 200mm and 300mm toothed buckets, and a 115 joule rockbreaker. The real reason for using this particular excavator was it's ability to access areas previously considered the province of a pick and shovel only.

The Environpest excavator had a working width of 900mm, but could hydraulicly suck the tracks to just 680mm wide. A standard door is 820mm. It can access most rear yards without having to move garden gates. It's height is just 1310mm. It will dig to 1560mm deep. It's weight is just 720kg, so it can be used to access areas only accessible by lift.

Most micro excavators have a 90o boom slew to the left, and a 50o boom slew to the right. The Environpest excavator has a 90o boom slew both left and right. In termite trenching we want to trench as close to the walls as we possibly can, and through using this machine, we can get our pivot point of the boom slew directly over the trench. In tight areas, we could even choose which track to suck in so that we could get in even closer.

It's possibilities are endless. You'll be amazed at where this machine can go!
