Environpest Fumigation Chambers

Environpest have developed specialist fruit fumigation chambers that are designed to achieve the fumigation requirements of the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services (AQIS) and/or receiving countries, and provide a minimum of damage to the fumigated  fruit. Imported USA citrus commonly had a saleable shelf life of 4 days following fumigation, and in Queensland, we've now been able to get that to over 14 days.

Our chambers can be tailored to the volume and size requirements of our clients, with most being manufactured with a steel framed distribution unit at one end, with a lightweight fumigation tarpaulin supported by a poly frame. Effective distribution of the fumigant is the essential within the chambers, and the right air flow for the fumigant used is critical.

         

We can work with our clients from a complete design and build service, to an advisory service, designing the chambers to suit client requirements for their engineers/tradesmen to build, commissioning the chambers, and training staff to operate them.
