The Environpest "Found Termites" Interactive Flow Chart will take you through the termite maze, setting out the options available to you.
It all starts with a professional timber pest inspection in accordance with Australian Standard 4349.3. That inspection should be visual, and by moisture meter, and include checking all accessible timbers including roof void timbers. It should also include an assessment of what termite barriers have been previously installed at the home.
