ENVIRONPEST

Termite treatment to the footings

This photo was taken at a townhouse, where Environpest treated one of four townhouses. The townhouses are radiata pine (termite susceptible) framed, and share common walls. Our treatment can still be compromised by termites entering through other townhouses that are not so well protected. The exterior soil areas have been trenched to beyond the footings, exposing all plumbing and electrical entries. The trench was treated using Biflex at it's 1 litre per 100 litre dilution rate, and then as the soil was replaced with a sandy loamy soil, the backfill was progressively treated achieving Australian Standard compliant volumes. In some areas, the paving was lifted to allow effective treatment.

There is no way that the clay soil could have been effectively treated using rod injection.  © Mark Porter 2000
