ENVIRONPEST

Termite treatment to the footings

This photo was taken at the same townhouse, where Environpest treated one of four townhouses. The townhouses are radiata pine (termite susceptible) framed, and share common walls. This photo shows the concrete we broke up underneath some paving to allow us to trench to the footings. With the depth of footing we found, there is no way that the clay soil found under could have been effectively treated using drilling and injection techniques.

The excavator is available for external hire. Within Brisbane, $55.00 per hour for the machine, and an additional $30.00 per hour if using the rockbreaker. The machine is quite unusual, in that it has a working width of 900mm, but can hydraulically suck the tracks into 680mm for access through narrow areas. (A standard door is 820mm wide). The machine without the cab is 1310mm high. It comes with 200mm and 300mm buckets.  © Mark Porter 2000
